
From "City of Steel" to "City of Style" If your gonna do it, you might as well do it right.
This seems to be the underlying message of the behind the scenes working and planning for Pittsburgh's premiere fashion week. This fall, Pittsburgh will join the ranks of other fashionable cities that host annual celebrations of fashion when the very first Pittsburgh Fashion Week commences on Sept 27th, 2010. And unlike most other fashion weeks hosted by cities of similar size of Pittsburgh (that typically have abridged 3-4 day events), our own Fashion Week 2010 will be a full seven days of fashion shows and fashion related events and also includes a variety of cultural and social events. Pittsburgh Fashion Week to give designers chance to shine in '10 From Steel City to ... Style City?
Pittsburgh will join the ranks of New York, Dallas and Miami when fashionistas gather to debut Pittsburgh Fashion Week, set for Sept. 27 through Oct. 3.
"This event will show that Pittsburgh is a region of style as well as steel," said Miyoshi Anderson, executive director and founder of Pittsburgh Fashion Week, at a Friday news conference. "Pittsburgh is a wonderful sports town, has a great cultural presence, and has been recognized as the most livable city," said Anderson, a Pittsburgh native with a successful modeling career. At a news conference Nov. 20 at Joseph Orlando men's store Downtown, model Miyoshi Anderson announced that the first Pittsburgh Fashion Week would be held from Sept. 27 through Oct. 3 at the Sen. Pittsburgh Fashion Week to debut in 2010 Miyoshi Anderson, a Pittsburgh fashion model with a national presence, announced the creation of Pittsburgh Fashion Week at a noon news conference at Joseph Orlando men’s store, Downtown.
